Attack!

I was going to apologize for all the "political" posts recently, but I realized a.) I'm not sorry, and b.) since when did defending the lives and safety of the oppressed become a political thing?
If you haven't already heard about the Lisa Miller case in Virgina, here's a recap. Lisa is a former lesbian who became a Christian and left her abusive partner. They had been "married" in Vermont while living in Virginia. Lisa had a daughter, to whom her partner is not legally related, and whom did not adopt her. This ex-partner is now trying wrest sole custody of the daughter from Lisa. It comes to trial-- for one hour!-- in two weeks. If you click here you can listen to the most recent report (audio player in upper left corner), and, if you feel led, donate to this legal battle which may very well set precedent for the marriage and child custody laws for the rest of the states. They ask first and foremost for prayer, and I know this will do more than anything else. The daughter's name is Isabella, by the way. Lends a new dimension to defending the fatherless, doesn't it?
