Exploring!

Today I got to go downhill skiing. In flip-flops. Twenty-eighth of June. Seventy-five to 80 degrees. My uncle took us up to 3000 feet on some logging roads (favorite type of outing), and around one particularly shady bend we discovered snow drifts. The higher we went, the deeper it got, and finally we could go no further. So we got out of the 4-wheel drive Suburban and went down the hill. Only I didn't have the proper shoes for hiking, so I just decided to wing it and slide. It was marvelous! This is what it looked like:

Uncle Phil found the only warm water around....

And we took one "proof" picture to assure people we were actually there with the snow, but.... we didn't quite get the snow in the picture....

Lastly, we took a picture of Mayfield Lake from very high up. We could see more of the lake at once than ever before. Of course you can't really see it in the picture.

Anyway, just thought I'd share some pictures for once (Rolana). More text later, I promise. :-)
