Apparently cleaning out my phone is good for my blogging habit-- I find lots of good pictures. I've been seeing some lovely things lately and in the spirit of propagating beauty whenever and wherever possible, I share it with you here. It's all a little green, but then so is this entire page. What can I say? Green is life, and consequently life to my soul.
This is Brodiaea, a flower with which I am most familiar from my California days. It grows wild there among the crab grass and star thistle (truly nasty specimens of flora) and one day it showed up at the Dollar Store in bulb form. Now it grows in the barrel in front of my back door and makes me happy. These are the near neighbors of Old Waverly, of best-climbing-tree-ever fame. No lens can capture the glory though.
Last week we went blueberry picking. This was growing in the same garden and it rejoiced my soul. Beauty, function, and extravagance all in one perfect form.
This, my friends, is the DingleBurn. You can't tell but you're looking right over the creek through a window into... where?
I'm very much afraid that Fall is well on her way. But if she must come then I'm glad she comes heralded thus.

Your phone amazes me! It captures God-light in stunning ways.
Afraid of fall being on her way? That's my favorite time of year!!! (And perhaps that's the difference in CA and WA!)
I love fall, espessially the cloathing, sweaters, scarves, long wollen coats. great stuff.
Just to clarify, girls, I LOVE fall! But when it overlaps what is supposed to be summer... I get annoyed. It's kind of a love/hate thing.
